Media Blasting:
Media blasting is the process of removing surface deposits by applying various abrasive mediums at a high pressure to clean surfaces back to the base material.
This removes all contamination such as rust and corrosion and leaves a good clean surface. This can either be left bare or is ready for the application of powder coating or wet paint. |
Our process involves a nozzle with a high-pressure airline to deliver various types of media, or shot, at the object. This is a particularly effective method for removing scale, rust, paint and minor surface flaws from metal objects.
Aluminium oxide 'grit' is used on steel surfaces and glass beads are used on softer surfaces such as aluminium as it is less abrasive and leaves a smoother finish |
